1.0 good image quality

• clean image with details in the grey matter
• symmetrical contrast between the left and right hemispheres
• good contrast between grey and white matter
• little signal or noise-like signal in the white matter

1.1 motion artifact

• Appearance: bright signal in the CSF, ventricles, or skull
• Cause: bulk/head motion
• Solution: fix the head with foam or tape

1.2 low label efficiency

• Appearance: asymmetric signal between the left and right or between the frontal and posterior regions
• Cause: head position or the labeling location is not right in the pCASL settings

1.3 eye motion
